The past week and this current one have been hectic to say the least! I have been working hard to take the time to wear my 'person hat' as much as possible when I am not at Breakthrough but 'me time' has become less of a priority as the days progress. In the beginning of the program, our workload & time commitment was manageable and I spent quite a few nights relaxing with friends and spending some quality time with my cat. However, this week I found myself devoting much more time for my Breakthrough Booyah! (homework) and voluntarily at that! I am getting really excited to meet my students (BSP is having their Back to Breakthrough night tomorrow!!!) and I'm really starting to enjoy the lesson planning aspect. Its getting easier and easier to let Breakthrough consume my life and it is quite clear now what returning teachers mean when they say that Breakthrough isn't just an internship-- its a lifestyle!!
