March 14, 2008 Final Interview Notification By this date at the latest, applicants will be notified if they have been granted an interview – some may be notified before this date. April 25, 2008 Final Applicant Notification By this date at the latest, applicants will be notified if they have been accepted to volunteer at a Breakthrough site– some may be notified before this date. May 26, 2008 Waitlist Notification By this date, applicants who have been placed on the waitlist will be notified if they have been accepted to volunteer at a Breakthrough site. A Note on Waitlist Placements: You also have the option to be placed on The Breakthrough Collaborative Waitlist. If you’re not accepted to the site(s) to which you applied to teach, and you indicated you would be willing to teach anywhere, your application is then automatically placed on the National Waitlist. By indicating on the application that you are willing to teach at any Breakthrough site, you are agreeing to be placed on the waitlist and are willing to be selected as late as May 26, 2008. PLEASE NOTE: The selection timeline may vary from site to site, but in most cases, placements are made on a rolling basis and therefore these deadlines are mere guidelines for the latest you would hear about your application status – you may be contacted earlier.
