Kate Mehr has
been the Executive Director of the National Network for Citizen
Schools since 2005 which, like Breakthrough, combines her love of
young people, communities, and growing organizations.

Cambridge, a Breakthrough Program. Her 20 year career has focused
on children and communities in the non-profit and public sectors.
After beginning her career as a teacher, Kate helped found the Massachusetts
