Tom

while his daughter was a teacher and assistant teacher at the Breakthrough
program at the San Francisco Day School for three summers. His interest
and concern about education otherwise has been developed through
his experiences as a trustee and board chair of the Bay Area Discovery
Museum; as a trustee of his daughter's school, Hamlin; as founder
of an effort to develop a new high school in the Presidio National
Park; and as a trustee of the American Conservatory Theater (ACT).
By day, Tom is chair of the real estate group of the law firm of
Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin. Tom graduated from

Cambridge, a Breakthrough Program. Her 20 year career has focused
on children and communities in the non-profit and public sectors.
